Remember earlier in the summer when we lost the big woodpecker feeder?
Mom found it. It was by the front pond where the old dock used to be before it rotted and fell apart. Right on top of two baby pine trees we had planted that spring that never grew.
I swore I checked that area up and down. But nope. It was there, presumably the whole time.
It was bent all out of shape and everything. Jo managed to fix it but his first guess on what happened–bear.
So we likely did have a bear right on our front porch that day. Scary!
The feeder is back in place. Now grandpa woodpecker can land properly to feed. He wasn’t digging the new feeder. It was too small to handle his side and he won’t come to tube feeders.
