PokeBank update is here~!

You read right! The update for Pokémon Bank is here as of a few days ago!

Now we can finally transfer all of our ‘mons from ORAS and X/Y over to S/M. All except the Cosplay Pikachu, of course. Which sucks because that was one of my mains is AS…

So yeah, I’m in the process of transferring all my stuff over. Got 36 boxes full of stuff, mostly cool WT stuff. Once I get an inventory on all that I have for extra stuff, I’ll be diving back into WTing and seeing what I get.

Data Mining the S/M Demo

Yeah, that’s happening. Lots unveiled. Best to go to Kaphotic’ Youtube channel to find all that.

I’ve kept up with all the new stuff and just got the demo last night myself. Blame cruddy school internet for making me late. Gaaah!

The Sun/Moon hype is real in me! 🙂

Also, we can catch the Ultra Beasts! So either the UBs escape on their own, Team Skull steals them…or my theory that Aether Foundation is actually the real evil villain in S/M is legit!

Update and Snakes

Sorry for not updating this as of late. The last chunk of summer was really busy and then school started last week. I’ve been up to my ears and work and homework. Ugh…

I’ve caught all the new S/M Pokémon stuff. Alolan forms are very interesting (Rattata looks like an old timey villain ready to tie maidens to train tracks, heehee), though I wonder why they exist. Sun and Moon should prove interesting once it releases, if someone doesn’t leak everything first or sell it early (looking at you, Canada and Europe).

So just a bit ago, mom complained about seeing a garter snake in the back yard. Now she sees one on the front porch, just slithering around on the deck…and then it actually goes over the doorstep and into the porch! Mom sends me to chase it out, not that I needed to because it slithered out as quickly as it went in. I made sure it went into the garden before I closed up the front porch doors. Mom is not having a good morning.

So yeah, fun times!

New S/M Pokémon and Other Stuff!

Just found this on Bulbapedia. New Pokémon and Sun/Moon features!

So we have more info on Mimikyu and Bewear from my last S/M post, along with four new guys! Including one that looks like a lei? Wow.

Also, Hyper Training to alter IVs. There you go, you competitive types! I won’t be using it because I don’t do that kind of training with my ‘mons.

New Sun/Moon Pokemon

Yes, I know that I’m late. I’m sorry. Life is busy.

Saw this yesterday briefly on Youtube but it was late at night so I didn’t dig up more until now. I love this thing!

Also, to avoid regurgitating info that you likely already heard, this and this are for the other seven revealed on June 30th and when their English names, along with the ones for the rock puppy and koala, were revealed on July 1st.

Definitely picking the cat starter and having the mongoose and the new lizard guy in my S/M party.

New S/M info from E3

Treehouse Live at E3 has revealed plenty of new information about the Sun/Moon games, as well as three new Pokémon. Here is the Bulbapedia article that I got this from.

The first is Pikipek, the Normal-type Woodpecker Pokémon that I’m pretty sure is the wireframe model we saw in the Pokémon Direct trailer back when S/M was confirmed. It has the abilities Keen Eye and Skill Link. It is #10 in the PokeDex and can learn (obviously) Peck. It can strike 16 times a second with its beak, which is strong enough to break through stone. It has two unrevealed evolutions.

The second is Yungoos, the Normal-type Loitering Pokémon that resembles a weasel or mongoose. It has the abilities Stakeout and Strong Jaw. Stakeout lets it deal double damage to Pokémon that switch in mid-battle. It eats a lot because its hunger is never satisfied and its fangs are strong enough to crush and eat very hard objects. It stalks prey until it falls asleep where it was stalking said prey. It was originally not native to the Alola region. It has one unrevealed evolution.

The last is Grubbin, the Bug-type Larva Pokémon. Its ability is Swarm and it can learn String Shot. It uses its jaw to burrow and can be found close to power plants because it loves electricity. It is unknown if it can evolve.

More information about the three starters and the mascot Legendaries has also been revealed:

Popplio can learn the move Disarming Voice. Hopefully this hints at a later Fairy subtyping. It starts out with the moves Tackle, Growl, and Water Gun. Litten can use Scratch and Ember. Rowlet has been shown with Tackle, Growl, and Leafage. Lunala and Solgaleo activate their alternate forms when they use their signature moves in battle.

Magearna’s ability Soul Heart has finally been explained. Its special attack raises by one stage when another Pokémon faints. Creepy… It is obtainable by scanning a particular QR code for Sun/Moon.

More general info about the game, as well as new battle mechanics, were also revealed:

At the beginning of the game, the neighboring town has a festival. The player will battle Hau during the festival. Hau uses a Pichu and the starter that is weak to yours.

Each of the islands in the Alola region has a guardian Pokémon. The island the player starts at is called Melemele and the guardian’s name is Tapu Koko. In gameplay dialogue, it is mentioned that the player has met Tapu Koko before in the game.

When Pokémon are registered in the PokeDex, PokeBall icons indicate how many Pokémon are in its evolution chain.

In battle, attacking moves with display whether they are Not Very Effective or Super  Effective against opposing Pokémon. This information will begin to display after you’ve battled the Pokémon in question at least once.

For player customization, not only can you pick skin color but you can customize your clothing.

A new battle mode is called Battle Royal, which is held in the Battle Royal Dome. Four players battle with three Pokémon each, sending one out at a time. After the battle, the players are ranked based on how many Pokémon they each knocked out and how many of their own Pokémon they still have after the battle ends.

Overall, lots of new and interesting info. I was hoping they’d reveal the wireframe bird soon. Guess I got my wish. Yay!

Definitely getting a Yungoos in these games. Ferret-like things for the win~!

Zygarde formes in S/M

In this Bulbapedia article, a trailer has been revealed showing of Gen 6 legendary Zygarde’s alternate forms in Sun and Moon. These forms so far are the 10% Forme and the Complete Forme.

The 10% Forme has been shown using Thousand Waves and Thousand Arrows, gen 6 moves that are currently unobtainable but whose coding exists in the gen 6 games.

When 10% Forme is at low HP, it turns into Complete Forme using its ability, Swarm Change, which also restores its HP.

Complete Forme has been shown using a new move called Core Enforcer. This move uses a long animation that ends in a Z-shaped beam bursting at the opponent. Though its type has not been revealed, it dealt super-effective damage to Garchomp.

Seeing as Garchomp is Ground/Dragon, its primary weaknesses are Ice, Dragon, and Fairy. I’m leaning more toward Dragon with Core Enforcer but we won’t know for sure until further information is available.

New Sun/Moon Pokeymanz!

Today, stuff was leaked from CoroCoro magazine. We have two new Pokémon revealed to us in this article on Bulbapedia.These are transliterations of their Japanese names, so their English ones may differ.

The first is a koala-like Pokémon called Nekkoara. It is known as the Dreaming Pokémon. It is a Normal-type, 1’8″ tall, 20.3 pounds, and has the new ability Sure Sleeper that prevents it from being afflicted by status conditions except for sleep.

The second is a puppy-like Pokémon called Iwanko. It is known as (duh) the Puppy Pokémon. It is a Rock-type, 1’4″ tall, 43.9 pounds, and has the abilities Keen Eye and Vital Spirit.

The Sun/Moon mascots have been revealed to have secondary forms. Solgaleo has Rising Phase, in which is becomes all yellow and appears more radiant, like the sun. Lunala has Full Moon Phase, in which its wings glow white to highlight its more skeletal structure.

Information on Magearna and how to get it in Sun/Moon have also been revealed. Magearna has the ability Soul Heart and a new move called Fleur Cannon.

A special Pokémon Ga-Olé disk will include a QR Code to obtain Magearna in the Pokémon Sun and Moon. This Magearna will be level 50, have the Ability Soul Heart, and know the moves Fleur Cannon, Flash Cannon, Lucky Chant and Helping Hand.

New Sun and Moon Details!!

I know I’m late with this but I’ve been gone all day and just got here to discover new Pokémon stuff has been revealed. Yay!

The information I used can be found here on Bulbapedia.

First off, the mascots have had crucial details revealed about them.

The Sun mascot, the lion, is named Solgaleo and is a Psychic/Steel type. It has a brand new ability, Full Metal Body, which prevents stats from being lowered by attacks or abilities. It’s basically like White Smoke or Clear Body. Its signature move is Sunsteel Strike, which ignores the target’s ability, much like Mold Breaker does.

The Moon mascot, the bat, is named Lunala and is a Psychic/Ghost-type. It has a brand new ability, Shadow Shield, which causes it to take less damage when it is at full HP, much like Multiscale does. Its signature move is Moongeist Beam, which ignores the target’s ability, much like Mold Breaker does.

The Alola region’s professor is Kukui. He studies Pokémon moves and takes direct hits from Pokémon attacks for research. Wow…

Lillie is Kukui’s assistant and is the same age as the player. She dislikes Pokémon battling but likes to read books. She’ll be a crucial character in the Sun/Moon story.

Hau is the player’s friend and loves Pokémon very much.

The Alola region itself is split into four natural islands and one artificial island. Likewise, its PokeDex is separated into four parts.

The PokeDex itself is special this time around. Kukui gives you one inhabited by a Rotom, calling it the Rotom Dex. This means your PokeDex now has a personality. Very few people have a Rotom Dex, even in Alola. It will display your current location, your next destination, and advice on where to go next based on conversations you have with others.

Sun and Moon will have a QR Scanner function to let you scan QRs to register Pokémon of the Alola region in the PokeDex, letting you view their habitat. You can display these QR codes in your PokeDex and share them with other players.
